Museum Het Schip

Museum Het Schip is housed in an imaginative 1919 public housing complex designed by architect Michel de Klerk for the Eigen Haard corporation. Nicknamed "Het Schip" (The Ship) for its striking shape, the building is a landmark of the Amsterdam School architectural movement.

Platform Wendingen

Wendingen (meaning: "turns", or "twists") is the digital interactive platform of Museum het Schip. The name derives from the monthly journal Wendingen which from 1918 to 131 functioned as the most important medium for the Amsterdam School architects to voice their ideas.
