Social housing strategies in major cities of Europe
AFWC
About
The AFWC’s annual meeting this year will consist of presentations and discussions from a varied spectrum of housing experts and professionals from five European cities. Together with representatives from the cities of Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, Vienna, and of course Amsterdam. We will summarise and discuss overarching lessons for social housing from the various cities. Egbert de Vries, director of AFWC, will be the moderator.
The presentations are about the general situation and organization of social housing in every city, the main trends/developments and the ‘hot’ problems/topics in every city related to the general themes of the ISHF.
After the presentations we will discuss the main topics with housing scientists, experts/CEO’s, Alderman Laurens Ivens and other politicians. The audience can give live feedback, respond through smartphone or tablet to speaker’s points in real-time, post opinions, ask questions and get involved directly with the subject matter.
Also, international students working on research under the wing of the AFWC will present their findings.
Laurens Ivens, Alderman of Amsterdam, will do the closing of the event.
