Social housing cinema party
l'Union Sociale pour l'Habitat
About
Social housing is about people and communities. To emphasize the social aspect of housing, the French association of housing corporations, ‘l’Union Sociale pour l’Habitat’, annually invites film directors to create short, fiction films about the lives of people living in HLM (Habitation à Loyer Modéré, literally translated: ‘rent controlled housing’). This is an open space providing original expressions on social housing, be it humorous, poetic, or realistic.
l’Union Sociale pour l‘Habitat will screen three short films, ‘La Fille de Baltimore’, ‘Le grand bain,’ and ‘Gagarine’. After the screenings, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, viewpoints, and visions for social housing in the presence of the film directors.
Screenings will be followed by drinks.
