Thanks to the National Office of cultural heritage (RCE) Museum Het Schip  can show a bronze statue of the architect H. Th Wijdeveld. Since end december 2017  it is to see in the architects room of the permanent exhibition of the Amsterdam School.

Architect Wijdeveld was one of the leading architects of the Amsterdam School. He was the editor-in-Chief of the magazine Wendingen and therefore had great influence on the Amsterdam School movement.

Wijdeveld died at the age of 103 and has published a booklet titled "My first 100 years '.
