Busexcursion The Amsterdam School
A busexcursion passing the buildings of the Amsterdam School throughout the whole of Amsterdam.
Every last sunday of the month Museum Het Schip organizes an excursion by bus along the buildings of the Amsterdam School. You'll visit the public housing in De Baarsjes and Amsterdam South. You'll also visit the complex De Dageraad, designed by Piet Kramer and Michel de Klerk. It's an excellent example of the Amsterdam School movement in the South of Amsterdam. It attests to the idealism of the former city council and of Public Housing Association De Dageraad (now 'De Alliantie'). An other architectural masterpiece is Het Scheepvaarthuis, the first example of the Amsterdam School, built by the architects J.M. Van der Mey, Piet Kramer and Michel de Klerk.
The regular excursions (last sunday of the month) are in dutch.
These excursions are also available for group bookings in other languages.
